Handmade & unperfect, like in older times.

For outdoors-people and folks from the countryside. I build and craft things the old way, reusing available materials and build them "just functional, unperfect", without industrialized perfection.

Materials

all materials used are either collected on the long beaches of Jammerbugten, the northern coastlines, or dragged out of norske or danske forests. additional things used in my work:

• steel (screws, nails, hooks), old and new
• wood (woodnails, joints),
• woodglue
• hemp/sisal-rope
• tarred bankline or selfmade tarred hemp/sisal-rope

Wood

the wood is usually driftwood from the beach, mostly already processed constructionwood, but sometimes rare finds like parts from ships or houses: teak/mahagoni (very rare)

when dragged from the forests, it is danske pine/spruce/oak/birch, norske pine/spruce/birk/juniper, corsican oak/chestnut or mediterranian eukalyptus.

the wood is processed using only handtools.

if treated, only food-safe, natural oils and waxes are used, mainly

• pure linseed oil
• walnut oil
• beeswax
• danish oil for furniture without direct skincontact
• selfmade stain from charcoal and rust - powders for coloring

Any wooden parts can always be burned in a bonfire or oven without any health risks.

Lamps

when building lamps, there is also of course electric wiring and the lamps itself, usually 12v-installations.
